WILLY’S Mountain View KENNELS SALES CONTRACT
(herein referred to as “breeder” and “buyer”)
1. If, for any reason, buyer can no longer keep their puppy, buyer agrees to return puppy to breeder. No
transfer of ownership will take place without notifying breeder, nor shall the buyer place puppy in another home without
verbal or written consent of the breeder. Returning of pup will be considered free of charge.
2. Buyer agrees to take their pup to reputable veterinarian to be examined at their expense within 72 hours of
purchase. If, at this time, the health of their pup is unsatisfactory, buyer will notify breeder and provide a written
statement from a licensed veterinarian regarding the specific health condition. Buyer must return pup to breeder
promptly. Breeder agrees to replace puppy of equal value, provided the pup is in the same condition as when
purchased. If buyer fails to follow through with article 2, this contract will be void. Breeder has the right to a detailed
veterinarian invoice and an outlined explanation of the specific condition. RETURN OF PUP FOR ANY OTHER
REASON THAN UNSATISFACTORY HEALTH IS NONREFUNDABLE.
3. Buyer agrees that breeder assumes no responsibility for any veterinary medical expenses once puppy leaves
breeder’s premises.
4. Your puppy will be a family pet, never to be tied outdoors or left unattended. Pups must be given ample
amounts of water, and fed a premium diet.
5. Buyer agrees to use the kennel prefix WILLYS in the pup’s registered name. Any other prefix will void contract.
6. Breeder guarantees pups against genetic health disorders or severe crippling hip dysplasia, causing the death,
or making necessary euthanasia of pup or conformation from a vet of severe crippling until two years of age. Buyer
agrees to buy and distribute NuVet Plus K-9 vitamins to puppy for 24 months. The phone number to NuVet is 1-800-
474-7044. Your order code is 13265. If vitamins are not ordered within 30 days of receiving puppy or receipt of this
contract the two year health agreement is null and void. In the event of suspected severe crippling dysplasia or sub
aortic stenosis, buyer must do the following;
a. Notify breeder by phone or letter
b. Submit an x-ray to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals for their evaluation. Instruct the OFA to submit their
findings by mail to Willy’s Kennels, 905 Private Road 112, Elizabeth, Co 80107.
c. Finding will be examined by breeder’s veterinarian (X-ray and vet costs are the buyer’s responsibility)
d. The dog/bitch must not have sired/whelped a litter.
e. If pup must be euthanized, breeder prior to euthanasia must receive a written notice from buyer’s veterinarian
stating pup’s condition. Euthanasia shall be performed at the owner’s expense.
f. Breeder reserves the right to have pup examined by veterinarian of breeder’s choice to determine to their
satisfaction that euthanasia is unavoidable. If both the breeder’s and owner’s veterinarians so agree, euthanasia shall
be performed at the buyer’s expense
g. Or, return pup to breeder at buyer’s expense. Breeder agrees to replace puppy of equal quality at breeder’s
convenience. All transportation costs of pup, and veterinary expenses are the buyer’s responsibility. Any replacement
puppy concludes guarantee arrangement on original pup.
h. Breeder assumes no responsibility for any veterinary medical expenses once puppy leaves breeder’s premises.
7. Buyer agrees to follow-up with vaccines for pup, heart worm testing and the preventative, and proper
veterinarian attention.
8. Buyer shall not use pup for breeding purposes unless otherwise specified.
9. If breeder suspects and proves abuse or severe neglect of pup, breeder or breeder’s chosen agent will take
possession of pup immediately.
10. Buyer must provide appropriate environment for puppy. Buyer shall not allow pups to be over-exercised or
allow excessive jumping. Food is a very integral part of the development of the skeletal system of this breed. A
premium puppy food must be maintained until one-year of age. Low-grade commercial puppy food does not provide
adequate nutrition. In addition, feeding a pup adult dog food is unacceptable and can actually cause damage to the
development of your pup. Breeder cannot be responsible for erroneous environmental factors if pup is not
appropriately cared for.
11. Since it is impossible to predict the future development of a puppy, there are no other warranties or
guarantees written or implied. Although breeders will grade the litter for future potential, such grading must be
considered an educated guess at best, and the owner must understand that “breeding quality” and “show quality” are
not guaranteed.
